Spousal Open Work Permit is a pathway through which the international students currently enrolled in a DLI of Canada or an individual who is an open work permit holder in Canada can invite their spouse to Canada on an open work permit. However, the documents for both may vary slightly.
The important documentation for applying for spousal open work permit outside Canada has been given below:
Note that the spouse in Canada must be employed at the time of applying and there is no specification of any NOC codes eligible to invite, however, low wage stream, Seasonal agriculture workers and the agriculture stream of the temporary foreign worker program have been excluded.
Note: These documents are required to prove the genuineness of the relationship. The Chats of the couple should be translated and should cover the entire timeline of the relationship.
