Canadian Experience Class (Express entry)

Canadian Experience class is an option to apply for permanent residency if you have jobs in TEER codes 0,1,2 and 3 in Canada. If you have one year work experience in one of the TEER codes mentioned above, you can lodge your application under this program. And if the CRS score of the draw is lower than your express entry profile score, you will get an invitation for PR.

Canadian experience class is for workers who have Canadian work experience and want to become permanent residents of Canada.

Eligibility:

• You should have one year of cumulative work experience in past 3 years in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 job categories.
• Work experience could be either full-time (30hrs/week) or equivalent hours if working part-time (you can work as many part-time jobs as you need to fulfill this requirement) or equivalent hours if working full-time at more than one job.
• Work experience can be in more that one TEER codes mentioned above.
• Work more than 30hrs/week is not counted.
• Have gained your work experience by working in Canada while under temporary resident status with authorization to work.
• Language requirements –

Canadian Language Benchmark 7 for Teer 0 &1.

Canadian Language Benchmark 5 for TEER 2 &3.

There are no education requirements, but education can increase your Rank in the express entry pool.

• If you have Canadian certificate , diploma or degree it can add some points to the profile.
• If you have foreign education you get points for complete foreign credential and have to get ECA (Education Credential Assessment) form a designated organization showing that your education is equivalent to Canadian degree, diploma or certificate.

You’re not eligible for the Canadian work experience class if:

• You are a refugee claimant in Canada.
• You are working without authorization.
• You are not on temporary visa (work-permit) in Canada.
• You are self employed or are a full-time student.
